Setting Up Your Computer for Online Flying -
Setting
up your PC:
Complicated
situations sometimes arise on the ground as well as in the air. One
such situation is preparing your PC for Online flying. In order to help you getting Online and ready to go, I have
created a "checklist" showing the sequence of actions that you must
go through to become ready for an Online flight.

My
VATSIM Checklist for FS2002 / 2004:
- Connect to
the Internet
- Start FS2002
/ FS2004
- Recalibrate
your Joystick in the FSUIPC Module
- Position
yourself at your Departure Airport & Gate
- Load Flight
Plans into FSNav and FS Flight Planner
- Run Squawkbox 3 Module in FS
- (The FS MP Session will be created automatically)
- Join the FS MP Session on 127.0.0.1 - FS2002 only!
- Choose the right aircraft type in Squawkbox 3
- Connect to
the VATSIM Server of your Choice
- Tune COM1 or COM2 to an Acticve ATC Station
- File your
Flight Plan in Squawkbox 3
- Run ServInfo
(in case you use the ServInfo gauge)
- Run
Screenshooter (in case you want to take pics)

the IVAO Server of your Choice
- (Teamspeak will launch automatically)
- Tune COM1 or COM2 to an Acticve ATC Station
- File your
Flight Plan in IVAP
- Run ServInfo
(in case you use the ServInfo gauge)
- Run
Screenshooter (in case you want to take pics)
