The following lessons will introduce you to basic navigational procedures used by real airline pilots. Real airliners always fly under IFR (instrument flight rules) that involves the use of standard departure, arrival and approach procedures as well as low- or high-altitude airways. Flying according to real procedures is fun, but it requires a high degree of expertise with radionavigational equipment, aeronautical charts and flight planning. Familiarity with such procedures is necessary for flying in ATC environment discussed in detail in our Communication Training section.
